Homestead Exemption in Orange County, Florida?

I'm relocating to another state due to job, but I still have my house in Florida. Presently the house is vacant and I'm thinking of renting it out. The state where I'm going I'll be renting. I've submitted change of address with the USPS. Does anyone know if I do a change of address with the County Assessor, if they're going to remove the Homestead? Is there a way out since I'm not buying another house?
