To keep or not keep jewelry?

I am a 19 yrs old. and i need someone else advice so i hope u can help me. It all started when i was a senior in high school i met this guy also a Senior we started talking and he asked me to be his girlfriend and i said yes everything was great for about 7 months and then just before the prom he started saying that it wasn't go to work out cause i was going to go to college in another city and i was going to be to far so he broke up with me i was so sad i couldn't believe he was breaking up because i was going to be to far. but that the way he thinks. i still went to the prom with a friend of mine my parents said that for me to go with a friend it was my last year. Well summer comes around and he starts talking to me again and says he wants me to be his girlfriend again and that we will make it work so i said yes. and it did work we would talk on the phone daily and we would Skype and when ever i come down for vacations I would see him and sometime he would go visit me with my parents they would take him. every thing was awesome.But Now that i am home for the summer.and i am transferring college to where he goes because it has my degree plan i taught he would be happy and that now that was home i would see him more often.But i haven't he has changed i been here for almost 2 months and we have gone out to the movies maybe Twice and only cause it was my idea,he does come to my house sometimes. he doesn't call me like he used to i have to call or text me first, and one time he said he would call me later that day .and i decide to call cause i wanted to talk to him and he didn't answer he later told me .YEA i know i saw the phone heard the phone ringing and saw it was you but i had already told u i would call u later that's why i didn't pick up. i couldn't believe what he was telling me that was so mean and something else his always with his guy friends like 24/7 i am not kidding. Another time he was going to spend the day at beach with sister and little nephew guess who he invited his guy friend i could believe he didn't invite me but his guy friend could go and he still didn't invite me. There is alot more things his has done but today i finally broke up i am really tried of this and he was fine with it. he just doesn't care Now my question is this all this time we were going around we gave each other gifts for birthdays Christmas and valentines example jewelry, movies etc i want to give him every thing back but family says to keep the jewelry after the way he treated me that i deserve at least that. i bought him some jewelry to he can keep them i dont want them . What advice can you give TO KEEP THEM OR GIVE THEM BACK Thanks
