I live in the state of N.J. Previous years, we would get a HOMESTEAD REBATE check if we owned a home....?

This year, they have changed it, that we get a reduction,example $600-$800 reduction on our property taxes. Does this in any way effect our 2010 taxes, as we had to include that check we recieved from previous years iun our income.?
