Why can't Americans admit that we are already and have always been a Socialist Country ?

The problem as I see it.. is that we have taken our social safety nets.. socialism light if you will, and transformed this marginal socialism into corporate socialism.. Where profits are privatized and losses are socialized. It's a form of socialism that no longer responds to the needs of the people, and the visceral result is increasing deficits to support corporate gambling, of which our tax dollars must cover. That is what people see, and is what have them up in arms.. they just haven't made the connection yet from their wallet - to the government - and then to Wall-street - and then to a board room in Ryad, Beijing, or Dubai. Some have made the connection, but they attack the middleman - the government - rather than attacking the multinational corporation pulling the government's strings.
