Which is a better dog for a first time owner?
Retrievers are the best choice, they are EXTREMLYY loyal,good with kids,and friends. Love to snuggle! They are protective also. So yes to all those questions for a retriever. And for the other two, they are good dogs but not for first time owners. HOPE THIS HELPS (:
