I have an electrical box outside my new home, can my taxes decrease because of this for homestead exemption?

I'm not really familiar with the whole homestead exemption on homes since I am a new homeowner of a year. But I did file a homestead exemption on my home and it was decreased to an amount that I still feel isn't fair, due to me not really having that much land as said I do have. Due to the fact that I have this electrical big hazard box in my yard. I was told that only about 2-4 homes in the whole subdivision have these in their yard, me not knowing about this, still purchased the home. But nw I feel this isn't fair, Will me filing a protest on this do anything? Because of this box I cannot put any plants, objects or anything 8ft all around my home. what can be done?
